TO MARK EID AL-FITR CELEBRATION, FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DECLARES FRIDAY APRIL 21ST AND MONDAY APRIL 24TH AS PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Federal Government has declared Friday, April 21 and Monday, April 24 as public holidays.

Making the announcement on behalf of government, the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, said the holiday is to mark this year’s Eid-al-Fitr celebration.

In a statement signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr Shuaib Belgore, Aregbesola congratulated Muslims for completing the holy month of Ramadan.

He called on them to imbibe the virtues of kindness, love, tolerance, peace, self-denial, sacrifice and good neighbourliness, as exemplified by Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
