The Bishop of Anchor of Restoration Ministry, Asaba Bishop Obiajulu Obi Obiajulu has condemned the attitude of some parents encouraging their children in fraudulent activities, popularly known as ” yahoo yahoo”.
The Bishop stated this during an interview with The Forward News Media in Asaba Delta State Capital, said it pains him when he sees some parents purchasing phones for their children to go into fraudulent business, yahoo yahoo.
‘The Bible says train up a child the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverb 22 vs 6). In his words he stated “when we were growing up and our parents see anything with us that doesn’t come from them, they will question to ascertain where you got that thing”.
“You can’t forsake the gathering of the saint, and say the church is in the heart and that is a lie from the pit of hell . Parents will see their children with some things and parents will not ask the children where do they get this things from”.
The society we were then is not the society we are now. when there is ethics and norms , we are in society where children are not disciplined, they become wayward, forgetting that the African society is not the Western Society we are in society that is cultured, saying that the society today need to be reformed, youths need to be reformed, adding that the youths, our children expose to Internet have caused more harm than good.
Looking at the life of the celebrities, and you think that is the best life to live, celebrities are supposed to be role models but not as it now, they smoke online, take hard drugs online and doing all manners of things that can lead children astray, he stated.
He advised parents to maintain the culture that will inculcate the Christlike characters to our children and streamline our children, show them the best way to go..
Bishop Obiajulu further explained that the christian of today is not the christian of 30- 40 years ago which is the christian of planting and Christianity today is built on the light, that christianity is fading away the ancient traditions of idle worshippers and evils . He noted that in Christianity we have areas of specialization, where you are called upon. Some preach on prosperity, holiness, faith, deliverance and we all in one direction.
Bishop Obiajulu, was born into the family where Christianity was built. According to him , his grandfather brought Assemblies of God Church to Ika land, his father is a man of God and his wife a woman of God, likewise family members .
He further disclose that he loves christian politics and that have led him to contest in the last election in Ika federal constituency for the office of House of Representative in the platform of ADC Party. He also noted that giving out to the society and rendering humanitarian services is his top priority. making sure that the society we are will be a better place to live. He applauded other men of God to do same.
Speaking on his challenges, he said the grace of God is upon him, saying when you see a man of God facing great challenges you know that God is with him, I have served in different capacity as a Christian and that have brought me to where I’m today. And remember Jesus was betrayed during his time and we believe that we will overcome all forms of challenge.
