The Area Commander in charge of Ogwashi-Uku area command , A C P Akpan Daniel has said that the job of protection of lives and properties would be more effective if needed information and corporation is given to the police.
He made the remarks during his familiarization tour at Ogwashi-Uku Division, Aniocha South Local Government Area, Delta State.
While saying that he would continue to work hard to ensure peace and protection of lives and properties in the Divisions under his watch, he called on residents to corporate and give needed information to the police.
He charged the Dvisional police officers (DPO’s) in the Divisions to perform their duties without fear or favour, saying that they should shun actions that are capable of causing crises in their Divisions.
ACP Akpan said the business of security was not meant for the security agents alone but for all , hence residents have to work with the police to achieve effective result.
The police boss called on residents of the areas to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement or persons to the police.
