
DSPG MARKS 23RD MATRICULATION CEREMONY, ASSURES PARENTS OF ADEQUATE SECURITY
Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, has reassured Parents and Guardians that adequate security has been provided for students within and aside the polytechnic and the state at large.
The Rector, Bldr. Professor Emmanuel Achuenu gave the assurance during his welcome speech at the 23rd matriculation ceremony, at the polytechnic permanent site.
Prof Achuenu, admonish the newly matriculated students should draw up a blueprint on how to achieve academic goals during their stay on campus.
He disclosed that, “God has used the Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi-Uku to nurture your growth and development in all facets of life”.
He, warned the newly admitted students to obey all rules regulations of the Polytechnic, saying discipline and good conduct are germane.
“ You should be rest assured that adequate arrangements have been made to provide for security of life on campus and the Polytechnic is working harmoniously with law enforcement agencies in Ogwashi-Uku metropolis and the state at large”
He gave a brief history of the Polytechnic, which at inception in 2003 started operations from a temporary site with 200 students and has metamorphosed into full-blown Polytechnic with 7 schools, 42 departments and 74 accredited programmes by National Board for Technical Education, (NBTE) and has recorded tremendous growth and achievements.
He commended the state government stakeholders, management team and dedicated staff of the Polytechnic for their consistency and support towards moving the institution to an Olympian height.
