CP WALE ABBAS ORDERS MASSIVE DEPLOYMENT FOR EID-EL-KABIR CELEBRATION, ENSURES SAFE, CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT
The Commissioner of Police for the Delta State Command, CP Wale Abbas, has assured all Muslim faithfuls and residents in the state of adequate security and smooth traffic flow during the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebration, scheduled from Wednesday, June 28th to Thursday, June 29th, 2023.
The Command will collaborate closely with other security agencies, including the Military, DSS, NSCDC, and Road Safety, to prevent the activities of hostile forces such as kidnappers, armed robbers, and cultists.
Meanwhile, CP Abbas strongly warns cultists and troublemakers to stay away, as the Command will take decisive action against anyone found engaging in unlawful activities. To ensure this, the CP has ordered the deployment of a significant number of personnel from Area Commands, Tactical formations, and divisions, including special constabularies across the state.
Their purpose will be to provide adequate security at all Muslim prayer grounds and strategic locations in the state. The CP has also instructed all Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to intensify raids on criminal hideouts and notorious areas within their jurisdictions.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Operations Officers have been urged to supervise the deployed personnel rigorously, aiming to achieve peace and tranquility during and after the celebrations.
On behalf of the officers and personnel of the Command, the Commissioner of Police extends his best wishes to all Muslim faithfuls, hoping for a joyful and trouble-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
