DELTA IS THE MOST PEACEFUL STATE IN NIGERIA – SAYS HON OSASA

A Chieftain of People Democratic Party PDP and Executive Secretary Delta State Security Trust Fund Hon (Barr) Samuel Osasa has described Delta state as one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria.

He said, people came from East and other neighboring states to Delta state because of the peaceful nature of the state and that was the reason why properties are very expensive in the capital city.

Hon Osasa stated this during an interview with the Forward News Media at his office in Asaba said , the banned of commercial motorcycle in eight local government area in the state particularly the capital city was not that government want to drive those that using commercial motorcycle as their dairy business away but to reduce crime.

” It’s cleared and safer now , people were using commercial motorcycle to cause nuisance and embarrassment to the government and government asked them to go elsewhere that is not congested like the capital city”.

He further explained that as a executive secretary security trust fund in Delta state, their role is to support security agencies with funds and not to control them because they are not security outfits. He added that attending to them is not that easy because they are many, and the funds to satisfy all the needs is not there.

We got our funds from people, organizations to assist security agencies, we are custodian of the funds and it’s not our business on how they execute their security duties, we don’t monitor or control them but we only support them with what we can afford and how they operate is not our responsibility, Hon Osasa stated.

He also said that Security Trust Fund doesn’t have support from Federal Government, support come from the state, organizations and individuals to support security agencies, adding that most of these security agencies are federal agencies.

Hon Osasa advised that we should improve ourselves as a man of integrity, said people should entrust in you, what you do and as a leader I tried to build on integrity,

In all my life people look for me for business and politics, adding that Chief Godwin Obielum popularity was known by him, because he was not in state, when he came, he came as friend. I help him to build all the structures he has in the state.

I have worked in several places, I was House of Representative member, held several federal appointment and today an Executive Secretary Security Trust Fund in Delta state, Barr Samuel Osasa stated.
