FCT POLICE COMMAND START OFF INQUIRIES INTO POISONING OF TINIBU’S MINISTER OF TOURISM, LOLA ADE-JOHN

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has initiated a thorough investigation into the alleged poisoning of a Minister associated with Bola Tinubu.

The Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, has issued directives for the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to take over the ongoing investigation from the Mabushi Police Division. The victim in question is Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John, who is currently hospitalized at the Federal Medical Centre.

Reports dicate that this investigation stems from alarming media reports on Friday, September 29, 2023, which detailed the hospitalization of Lola Ade-John in Abuja due to acute poisoning from undisclosed sources.

Family members have expressed concerns about the urgency of saving her life. Lola Ade-John, aged 60, was swiftly rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, as soon as symptoms of poisoning became evident. Sources close to her family reveal that she has been relying on a breathing-assistance machine during her hospitalization. However, the exact substance ingested and the circumstances surrounding the poisoning remain uncertain at this time.

The Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed these developments during an exclusive telephone interview on Saturday, September 30, 2023, stating, “The CP has ordered the Mabushi Police Division that was investigating the matter to immediately transfer it to the SCID.
