GOMBE STATE NSCDC APPREHENDS A 35YEARS OLD MAN FOR STEALING 26 BAGS OF FERTILISER
The Gombe State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on Friday paraded a 35-year-old man for stealing 26 bags of fertiliser in the Kaltungo Local Government Area of the state.
Briefing journalists at the state headquarters Commandant Muhammad Bello, who was represented by Public Relations Officer, SC Saad Buhari, said the arrest was based on the vigilance of the neighbourhood and prompt tip-off of his men.
The Forward News correspondent gathered that a bag of fertiliser in Gombe open market is being sold at N42,000.
The Commandant said, “Mohammed Sani, 35 years old from Arawa B Gombe carted away 26 bags of fertiliser from the shop at Ture in Kaltungo. Sani carted away the bags with the support of his friend who is at large, he will be charged with conspiracy, mischief, and theft.”
Also, Bello paraded a notorious criminal, Abubakar Mohammed, 26, allegedly wanted by other security agencies for varying crimes.
He added that the suspects would be charged with banditry and kidnapping.
