HARDWORK HAS TAKING ME TO THIS POSITION IN LIFE – SCHOOL PRINCIPA

 

The Principal of West End Mixed Secondary school, Asaba Mrs Augusta Ogeah has stated that hardwork pays.

Speaking with The Forward news media after receiving a meritorious Award of excellence performance in education system, she said with this honour we are going to work harder, noting that what it means is that hard work pays especially for the younger generation.

“Whatever you are doing, you may be thinking that people are not seeing you but this shows that people are watching us”.

According to her, this is her third year in West End School, and at the beginning it seems that nobody is seeing her work, but just recently two Award have been given to her and more are coming.

She disclosed that at Illah Grammar School, where she served as Principal before she was transferred to West End, the community wrote a recommendation letter to honour her hard work just after one year in the school.

” My first and second year in West End School it seems that nobody is seeing my work, I was wondering
And I keep asking myself, does it mean that nobody is seeing it”.

Mrs Ogeah thanked the state government for giving her the platform to perform, adding that the Vice Principal, staff and students of the school have given her a soft landing to showcase her best.

This award, I didn’t lobby for it, I didn’t buy it but it comes through my hardwork and it encourages me to do more which I guaranteed, Mrs Ogeah stated.

She encouraged her staff and other Principals in delta state to put in the best that hardwork pays.

She further stated that government should be awarding teachers who have performed excellently in bringing up our younger generation into limelight.

The Vice Principal of the school Mrs Chinwe Chilaka thanked The Forward news media for the recognition, adding that it is truly a meritorious service award, that her Principal deserve the award.
