JUST IN: NEDC PRIORITISES EDUCATION OF GOMBE STATE CHILDREN
The North-East Development commission Gombe office, has reiterated its commitment in providing standard quality of education in the state.
The acting state Coordinator of the commission, Alhaji Rufa’i Lawan Manu, stated this while distributing essential materials to over 160 students. He also handed over one block of three classrooms built by the commission in Tsangaya Primary school Kumo, in Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State.
According to Manu, the reason for the distribution of essential materials and building of the classrooms is to encourage children, because of the rate of out-of-school children which is alarming.

He therefore, called on parents to ensure that their children were sent to school regularly to enable them reach their full potentials.
On his part, Education Secretary, Akko Local Government Education Authority, Ahmad Danladi said, the commission’s commitment to providing quality education for all students is commendable, and their efforts are making a significant impact on the lives of the students and the community as a whole.
Lamido said, “The completion of the new classrooms and distribution of essential materials are steps in the right direction towards building a brighter future for the students at the school and empowering them to reach their full potential.”
