LAGOS STATE COMMANDANT DEBRIEFS MANAGEMENT STAFF, ALLAYS FEAR OF SECURITY THREAT, PLANS NEW OPERATIONAL STRATEGY AND SYNERGISES WITH NOA.

In line with the recent charge of the Commandant General (CG), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, to Deputy Commandant Generals ( DCGs ), Zonal Commanders and Commandants at the National Headquarters, Abuja, on Tuesday, 9th August, 2022, the Commandant, NSCDC, Lagos State Command, Commandant Eweka Edenabu Okoro, msc, acma, cna, immediately holds an emergency meeting, today, Thursday, 11th August, 2022, with the top brass of the Command; Deputy Commandants, Assistant Commandants, Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and Tactical Commanders, at the State Command’s Headquarters, in Alausa, Ikeja.

Commandant Eweka Okoro, pragmatically and proactively debriefs the management staff and Heads of various formations in the Command, on the CG’s charge, in the areas of; intelligence and adequate investigation of cases, anti – vandalism, protection of critical national assets and Infrastructure, protection of custodial facilities, disaster management, regulation of private guard companies, welfare of officers, combatting insecurity and asymmetric war, discipline and maintenance of law and order, amidst others, at the emergency summon today.

In addition, he commences, by commending the efforts of the CG, describing him “as a proactive and sedulous leader, who means very well, for the officers and men of the Corps.”

The Commandant also seizes the emergency summon, to allay fear of security threats, by criminal elements as he assures Lagosians, of more commitment and cooperation with other security agencies, in the State, in a bid to protecting their lives and property at this critical time.

He also promises change of operational strategies, by charging the Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and Tactical Commanders, on modern methodologies, tactics and skills, to deploy, in fulfilling the Corps’ mandates in the State, following the spate of insecurity challenges bedeviling, the country. “The Command will do everything humanly possible, in its capacity, to continue to bring vandals of our critical national assets and infrastructure to book when caught,” Commandant Eweka says.

Furthermore, the Commandant also receives the Lagos State Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA), Dr. Waheed Ishola and his team to grace the emergency summon at the Command’s Headquarters today, where the Director gets an unparalleled opportunity to formally synergize with the Command. The Director of NOA, Dr. Waheed Ishola, during his address, says, “the reasons for his visit to the Command, which include; issues of terrorism, banditry, child soldering, security threats and the state of insecurity in the country at large, need a vehement and proactive collaboration across board.
