NIGERIA POLICE FORCE CONFIRMS THE RELEASE OF  KIDNAPPED FEMALE TOP POLITICIAN

 

THE suspense surrounding the kidnap of a female top politician and the former Commissioner for Technical Education in Delta State, Hon. Joan Onyemaechi aka Ada Anioma who was seized last week Tuesday from the Church in Asaba has finally come to an end.

This followed the much awaited confirmation from the Police which is the confirming authority in this regard.

Delta State Police Command’s Spokesman, Bright Edafe, a Superintendent of Police SP, confirmed the release on Friday night but declined to give further details.

Recall that The Townhall had on Thursday evening after getting a first hand information about her release from the kidnappers from highly reliable and dependable sources confidently ran this story, here under, reproduced.

THERE are strong indications that the kidnapped former Commissioner in Delta State, Joan Onyemaechi alias Ada Anioma has allegedly been freed from captivity.

A reliable source hinted The Town hall this afternoon that “as we speak there is wild jubilation at her hometown, Ubulu Uku in Aniocha South local government area of Delta State Nigeria following the news of her freedom. We have been praying for her release and God has answered us”.

It was gathered that the kidnappers demanded for a ransom of N1 billion but The Town hall was yet to ascertain whether it was paid before her freedom or not.

She is said to be receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

Her alleged release is however yet to be confirmed by the Police authorities as at the time of this report.
