Hon Christopher Agali The Youth Leader for All Progressive Congress (APC) Delta State with The Forward News Correspondents during an interview session

Can You Tell Us More About Yourself?

My name is Senior high Comrade Christopher Gali, The founder of APC youth leader and community youth leader in Okpanam Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta state.

Can You Provide Us The State Of Your Party APC In Delta State?

Well, When it comes to politics you don’t expose yourself and we are still on the matter and i believe by His grace we would achieve what we want, so we have to wait for judgment from supreme court.

As A Youth Leader, What Are Your Major Challenges In Coordinating The Affairs Of Your Party In Delta?

As a youth leader, I don’t think there is too much challenges, but though youths are most difficult people you can control, but based on the leadership we are doing well.

Could You Tell Us The Main Scope Of Your Office And How It Will Benefit The Youths?

Our office will benefit the youths and the main benefits we have for youth wing is empowering, coordinating for better character and them mostly enlighten them on the effect of drug abuse. We have to take their minds away from drugs and we will do this through federal government empowerment because many of our youths don’t like working again. Looking at Nigeria 78% youths is in hard drugs, and the means of engaging them is to take them and make sure they are empowered, empowerment will go a long way and it should go around state, Delta North. South and Central. Youths don’t like working again, just as Federal Government is doing police recruitment, when you tell someone to come and join police 90% of them will say no because youths like that money that will come to them quickly. there will be empowerments from Federal Government coming by March, more empowerment for the youths for business, “Just like a saying that says; teach me how to fish than to give me fish” and as a good politicians you start from home if you keep on paying them salary they will not be satisfied because they need quick money.

As A Youth Leader, What Is Your Office Doing To Bring The Youth Into Politics In Delta ?

We are doing that, for now the state has been controlled by another party, if our party take over the government not by this through SAs or commissioners. I will be proud to tell you that only APC government that produce the youngest commissioner in Nigeria from Rochas Okolocha former Governor of Imo state. Like what the President is doing, your work will base on what you study even though it will take a lot of research, he has already started it, if you are the Minister for Sports you know you are into sports, Minister for health you know you are into health I have not seen the government doing this before but this government is doing it. You can see it in the person of David Umahi as a Senator, the President asked him to forget about the senate and that he would want to make him a Minister and he obeys. Umahi is doing well and we will do well when we take over the state.

Going Forward Sir, What Message And Advice Would You Like To Give To The Youths?

Like as I previously said, the problem we have is drugs addicts, not only in Delta. When we take over the state we will know how to do it, not every youths will be a yahoo, and once you are involve in yahoo, you go into drug addict and that is what we are seeing right now, but when we come to power we know how to handle it and we cannot say it all until we get there.

What Guiding Principles That Have Brought You To This Stage In Life?

This happens when you are loyal to the elders. I have been working with Buhari since 2003 , When we formed the APC in Zamfara in 2014 when people were calling us Boko Haram party. But today we are enjoying it and even those that were calling us Boko Haram party joined us and you know you don’t have the right to stop people to join the party because it is an open doors. Then we found it very difficult to have an office in Delta , one of our leader Kenneth Okonkwo pay for secretariat for us and we need to double the payment for the church occupying the place to relocate but today we are happy and we know in politics you have no right to send people away, it is an open doors. Today we are happy with the party. The Northerners have the largest 19 States and the rule about two years while the southerners ruled for fourteen years from the sixteen years of democracy in Nigeria. The Northerners have made-up their mind when Jonathan denied the northerners the ticket of coming back for President. It is a stress, and you know our president today who is Jagaban never supported any body and he failed, he bring out his time and money, so in 2015 he supported Buhari and he won. I don’t like PDP right from the beginning. I don’t like their pattern. I know I am heading to somewhere in next four years we will be in Abuja.Talking about the economic situation of things now, for Nigeria to grow we have to suffer it now, I remember China suffer it for twelve or more years before they get to where they are now, you can see things made in China. In six or seven months to come things will change in Nigeria. During Jonathan regime, he removed subsidy but he was called to order and returned it but Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu take the boldness. I don’t think people see it as a problem, Nigeria must move forward.

What Do You Want To Be Remembered For?

Definitely every day we keep praying for upliftments and promotions and one day we just say that you have been promoted and that is our prayers So what do you want people to remember you is the higher position, I don’t need to talk about lagacy, people we say it, but it’s important to keep a lagacy that people will remember you for.
