ROAD SAFETY CORPS IS NOT AN ENEMY TO ROAD USERS, SAYS DELTA SECTOR COMMANDER

urging the road users to be safety caution

The Federal Road Safety Corps in charge of Delta state, Corps Commander UB Eshiet has made it known to the road users that Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC) is not an Enemy to any road users.

The Sector Commander stated this during an interview with The Forward News Media in Asaba, said the federal road safety corps has a collaboration with National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and other agencies in the state to ensure proper use of road during feasts period.

He noted that speed thrills but only the living celebrate, urging the road users to be safety cautioned, adding that speeding is the major cause of accident in Nigeria.

Eshiet caution drivers on Over speeding, overload, multiple light in the vehicle, stating that when you are tired you need not to force yourself on the road because you can not make all the money in one day, he advised.

The Sector Commander explained that they are in touch with schools, churches, motor parks, radio stations enlightening public on how to be safety caution. Also using the FRSC Evangelism to read out to the public on safety.

He speaks on the current situation of federal roads in delta which has been a great challenge to road users.

He disclosed that with the intervention of the governor of Delta state Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori on the road from Umutu through Obiaruku to Eku, he is very convinced that the road users will experience more safety during the feast period, stressing further that delta state government is not relaxing to make sure that the roads in delta is in order.


He also thanked the governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for the three flyover awarded in Warri.

The Federal Road Safety Corps is not an enemy to road users but a body that needs the safety of the road users.
“we are concerned and looking forward to see our people in 2024”, he stated.
