Very few people appreciate their purpose in life and still understand the components of that purpose. Mr Humphrey Muemufoh, The Executive Officer, Urban Planet Limited, Asaba,Delta State. He stand out among the few who had more than a fleeting nation of their sojourn on earth.

He is a rare breed who viewed life solely from the perspective of his God, and knew that life’s purpose can only be fulfilled when self-will is surrounded to Almighty God.

Mr Humphrey Muemufoh is a very supportive, encouraging and inspiring fellow; whatever he sets his mind on, he does passionately and quietly. He is a loving, kind-hearted man and this shows in his dealing with all that come across him, including his fellows who are into entrepreneurial or business owners. One peculiarity of Mr Humphrey Muemufoh is that he operates with synergy in his relationship with not only his clients /customers, but also to the public.

This amiable fellow is a man who has been identified as being effective and efficient in carrying out his real estate duties. A crusader of integrity who believes in efficiency and has contributed immensely in human development and as well as zero tolerance for corruption. His qualities to duties, diligence, hard work and honesty are second to none.

Several monumental achievements and positive impact he has made to the society could be traced to the unseen hands of the amiable Mr Humphrey Muemufoh, an erudite and articulate Chief Executive Officer who is thoroughly diligent when carrying out his duties. A humane personality, who is humble to the core and whose rare leadership mien on and off his real estate business endeared him to many.

Let’s know who you are to the society ?

My name is Mr. Humphrey Muemufoh. I am an Entrepreneur and I believe in pan Africa Entrepreneurship which is basically Africa, we develop Africa and it start with every industry and field we find ourselves playing, For example we are playing the real estate field, and so I believe in us giving our best, hundred percent towards achieving development in that field by working together in synergy to achieve the results we are looking for as a country. Nobody will develop our country except we do it ourselves and this is what has thrive us to be in this field.

What are the modules operandi of Urban Planet Limited?

Basically we are into real estate services, construction, supplies, property development, we are also into sales of lands and we help people become landlords by getting genuine properties at affordable rate and easy payment structure for people. Even if u don’t have the entire money, you can pay in part and still get your land allocated to you and start development or you can resell it if the price appreciate, that’s what alot of people really do. We have different estate in different part of the city like in Ibuza, Azagba Ogwash, Otulu, close to the Airport side. We are also working on developing Ugbolu axis as well. We try to make things easy for people, buying genuine properties and no stories involved because Urban Planet Limited is a company you can trust.

It is a great work you have invested here, which started on the 29th of May, 2023. How did you come about this vision?

Like I said earlier on, the vision started from what we would want to contribute to the society, wanting to make things right and do what we can, also started on how we can help people become financially free through real estate. And for us, is not just about buying property but to provide some level of financial education to people and one of the best investment you can ever make is real estate and we are here to help more persons make that investment and making easy for them.

On a scale of preference, how many lands have been sold out, buildings constructed and the prices that ranges in partnering with customers?

We actually have a plan in place for average to low scheme house which is not yet commenced. We are looking for how we can partner with the state government to achieve that. But for now, we are more into sales of landed properties and for the construction we are into is subcontractors to some companies and residential buildings which we just got into recently. We are currently constructing residential building close to NTA but our main focus is on getting a low income to average income estate that people can afford. Estate properties price of about thirty to thirty-five million and the customer can also spread the payment for up to ten to fifteen years. This happens when you have a steady income job or business; you make a deposit, move into your house and pay the balance over a period of time. For e.g. the civil servant will be paying through their account directly. As for lands we have done between fifty to hundred plots that we sold out even more than that which had been sold out.

What processes do you employ to facilitate in securing properties, transactions and fraudulent activities with businesses and customers?

Urban Planet always goes thorough duty in checking the genuinty. For example, you have to check if the property is within government jurisdiction, is it under dispute in court, is it owned by someone else. These are the things we have to crosscheck thoroughly and get to ministry of lands to know if there is any previous registration. Once you go through these process and proper diligence, you are sure that any property you are getting is free from any external bodies in order to enjoy the property you are getting. After doing that you still go ahead to survey the lands, register the lands to enable take possession of the property and no issues attached. Thorough background diligence in any landed properties is very important.

Urban Planet is known to have rapid sales in the real estate world, what is the magic sir?

The magic is integrity, like as I earlier said, within the short period of time, we have sold lands and brought forth land lords. Most of our sales came from referrers. The secret is transparency and integrity. Urban Planet gives the best and exactly what you want us to do.

In every success story, there are always challenges.So what are your challenges in the process of doing your business?

First of all, is not an easy business, which the hurdles are getting genuine properties, doing enough research on it to avoid bad eggs. Most times we do have little issues with the community but is always sorted out. The community youth sometimes can be an issue too, but when you go through the right process in the community, you don’t have any problem. There are increase in materials prices in terms of construction For example, getting a material for six thousand and come back again and is being sold for nine thousand which is devaluation of naira.

As regards to the economy crisis in Nigeria, what advice do you have for our youth who are striving to blossom?

Nigeria is a large economy, and even if you say the economy is bad, there are people who are doing well, still surviving. To me, it is an upward movement and in the next five to ten, we Africans will be grateful. There are a lot of opportunity, and I urge my people to find field or skill you have interest in and learn as much as you can. Try and reach out to the people who are already doing what you intend to do because there a lots rooms for success, and financial prospect. So I urge them to do well.

As a prudent and integrity man you are, where do you see your company in the next 5 years to come?

In the next five years, infact five years is a long time, we are going to venture into construction, enough properties, that is, properties people can afford because we have properties we construct for lower, middle and upper class and so, we going to extend our activities to other state before the end of this year by God’s grace. One of our goals by next year is to get one thousand millionaire land owners, two hundred millionaire investors and fifty millionaire investors. Urban Planet will also see themselves in different state and contributing in creating thousands of land owners, help people achieve that goal and cross the bridge.

From your wealth of experience, what are your guiding principles and what would you want those aspiring to be like you to emulate from you?

The first thing has always been integrity, being honest and stand on your words. In Nigeria, integrity is a scarce commodity, but in all transparency, integrity and the rest has been my watchdog. The next is hard work and diligence in whatever you do. To conclude it all, God Almighty has really been my helper and without him, I won’t be able to do anything, to God be the glory.
